Project: Sunshine To You

‘너에게 전하는 햇살’은 교육 불평등 해소를 목표로 초등학생을 위한 참여형 책자를 제작해 기부하는 프로젝트입니다. 동시, 사회 이슈, 과학, 만들기 등의 내용으로 구성되어 있으며, 아이들의 독해력과 창의력, 사고력 향상을 지향합니다. 책자는 매달 지역 아동센터, 병원학교, 도서관, 초등학교 등 다양한 기관에 기부됩니다.

"Sunlight Delivered to You" is a project aimed at addressing educational inequality by producing and donating interactive booklets for elementary school students. The booklets include content such as poems, social issues, science, and crafts, designed to enhance children's reading comprehension, creativity, and critical thinking skills. These booklets are donated monthly to various institutions such as local child centers, hospital schools, libraries, and elementary schools.

  • WRITE

    가장 먼저 책자에 들어갈 내용을 작성합니다. 여러 차례의 수정을 거쳐 최종적으로 책자에 들어갈 컨텐츠가 완성됩니다. 매달 다른 주제로 글을 작성하며 주제는 문학, 예술, 음악 등 다양합니다!

    First, we write the content that will go into the booklet. The draft goes through several rounds of revision before the final content is completed. Each month, we write on a different theme, with topics ranging from literature and art to music!

  • DESIGN

    확정된 내용을 바탕으로 책자를 디자인하는 작업이 진행됩니다. 디자인은 콘텐츠의 분위기와 주제를 살릴 수 있게 신중하게 구성됩니다. 이 과정을 통해 하나의 완성도 높은 책자가 완성됩니다.

    Based on the finalized content, the booklet design process begins. The design is carefully crafted to reflect the tone and theme of the content. Through this process, a high-quality and complete booklet is produced.

  • PRINT

    그렇게 완성된 디자인은 인쇄를 위한 최종 점검을 거칩니다. 이후 아담한 사이즈의 책자로 프린트되어 제작됩니다. 손에 쏙 들어오는 크기로, 언제 어디서든 부담 없이 읽을 수 잇습니다.

    The finalized design goes through a final check before printing.
    It is then printed and produced as a small, compact booklet.
    Its handy size makes it easy to read anytime, anywhere without hassle.

  • DISTRIBUTE

    그렇게 완성된 책자는 포장을 거쳐서 전국에 잇는 초등학교, 유치원, 기타 교육기관으로 배달됩니다. 새벽햇살은 해당 교육기관들을 방문하여 대면봉사를 진행하기도 합니다.

    The completed booklets are packaged and delivered to elementary schools, kindergartens, and other educational institutions across the country. Dawn Sunshine also visits these institutions to carry out in-person volunteer activities.

In-Person Volunteer

새벽햇살은 전국에 있는 다양한 기관들에 대면 봉사를 나가고 있습니다. 주로 도서관을 위주로 수업이 진행되며 영어로 수업을 진행해, 영어 접근성을 높이는 활동도 동시에 진행합니다. 대면봉사에서는 단순한 지식 전달 수업이 아닌 자연스럽게 영어에 접근할 수 있도록 과학실험, 협동화 그리기, 뮤직비디오 촬영하기 등의 방식으로 ‘행복’을 최우선시합니다. 

We are engaging in face-to-face volunteer activities at various institutions nationwide. Classes are mainly conducted at libraries, with an emphasis on teaching in English to increase English ability, to garner support among Korean parents. In face-to-face volunteering, the priority is not simply delivering knowledge, but naturally approaching English through activities such as science experiments, cooperative drawing, and shooting music videos to prioritise ‘happiness' for children.
